Frequently Asked Questions

What is Revenge Anonymous (RA)?

Revenge Anonymous is a free, peer-support community for people who feel stuck in anger, resentment, or thoughts of revenge—and want a healthier way forward. It’s modeled after programs like Alcoholics Anonymous, using a simple, structured approach to help people let go of destructive patterns and regain control.

Who is this for?

This is for anyone who:

  • Can’t stop thinking about getting even

  • Feels consumed by anger or resentment

  • Has been hurt and doesn’t know how to move on

  • Wants relief, clarity, and peace of mind

You don’t need to be at a breaking point. If something is bothering you, you’re welcome here.

Is this really anonymous?

Yes. You are not required to:

  • Use your real name

  • Turn on your camera

  • Share personal details

You can join, listen, and leave without saying a word.

Do I have to speak in meetings?

No. Many people attend their first few meetings just to listen. You can participate at your own pace—only when you feel ready.

How do meetings work?

Meetings are simple and structured:

  • A host guides the session

  • People share their experiences (optional)

  • No advice-giving or judgment—just listening and support

You can join from your phone or computer.

Is this therapy?

No. Revenge Anonymous is peer support, not professional therapy or medical treatment. That said, many people find it helpful alongside therapy or other forms of support.

Is there a cost to join?

No. Meetings are completely free to attend.

What if I’m not sure this is for me?

That’s completely normal. You don’t have to commit to anything—just attend one meeting and see how it feels. There’s no pressure to come back.

Will I be judged?

No. Everyone in the group has experienced anger, hurt, or thoughts of revenge. This is a space built on understanding—not judgment.

What makes this different from talking to friends or posting online?

Most people don’t feel comfortable sharing these thoughts openly. This is different because:

  • Everyone here understands the same struggle

  • It’s completely anonymous

  • The focus is on moving forward—not staying stuck

What if my situation is really serious?

You are still welcome here. However, if you feel overwhelmed, unsafe, or in crisis, it’s important to seek immediate help from a qualified professional or local support service. Call 988 (free US Lifeline) or 911 (US emergency services).

How do I join a meeting?

It’s simple:

  1. Click the “Join a Meeting” or "Find Meeting" button

  2. Choose a time that works for you

  3. Enter the meeting link

That’s it—no signup required.

What happens after I attend?

That’s up to you. Some people come once and feel relief. Others return regularly and build a routine of support. You decide what works best for you.

Do I need to prepare for it?

No.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

You don’t have to be ready.

You just have to show up once.

Ready to try it?

Anonymous. No pressure. No commitment.
